Krishna Parameswar, MD is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He has studied at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico, as well as at New York Medical College. He then went onto Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois to complete his Internal Medicine Internship in 2002 and then complete his residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Center in 2005. Dr. Parameswar’s professional associations include the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation as well as the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
Dr. Parameswar’s areas of clinical interest include General Back and Neck Pain, Osteoarthritis, Sports Medicine, Musculoskeletal Disorders and EMG’s.
Dr. Parameswar’s belief is that the primary goal of managing a person’s pain is to improve function and quality of life. Reducing one’s pain can allow for improving activity, self-esteem and self-confidence. He treats those in pain using non-surgical techniques such as medications, physical therapy and interventional procedures. He also performs EMG’s that serve as an important tool in helping understand a person’s neurologic source of pain or dysfunction.
